How we research
Our guides are built from primary sources, dated, and cross-checked. Here is the method.
Primary sources first
We prioritize official sources: hotel and attraction websites, tourism boards, municipal and transport operators, national parks, museums, UNESCO, and government travel information. We use reputable independent sources for context, never as the only authority.
We never single-source a destination
Every guide draws on multiple sources, and every recommendation carries the source and the date we verified it.
We date volatile facts
Prices, opening hours, hotel and restaurant status, and transport schedules change. We store the source, the verification date, and a review date for each, and we flag anything that has gone stale so it can be updated.
We show our labels
Every guide shows whether it is firsthand or researched, and when it was last researched.
