Bali packs several very different holidays onto one island: the temple-and-rice-terrace culture of the Ubud highlands, the surf and sunset-bar strip of Seminyak and Canggu, the clifftop temples of the Bukit peninsula, and the calm resort bays of Nusa Dua. Ten days is the length that lets you see the culture and the coast without living in the car, which is why V Time treats Bali as a multi-base trip rather than a single resort.
If you only take one thing from this guide: do not try to see Bali from one hotel. The island is bigger and slower than it looks on a map, and the north-inland and south-coast experiences barely overlap. Two bases, a driver for the transfer, and early starts for the temples will beat any single-resort itinerary.

Bali has a tropical, two-season climate. The dry season, roughly April to October, is the reliable window: sunnier days, lower humidity and calmer seas. July and August are the busiest and priciest; May, June and September give similar weather with thinner crowds.
- April to June: Start of the dry season: lush from the rains, sunny days, sea calming down.
- July to August: Peak dry season and peak crowds; book hotels and drivers well ahead.
- September to October: Still dry, quieter, often the best value in the good-weather window.
- November to March: Wet season: warm but with heavy afternoon rain and humidity.

Seminyak
